Every woman is beautiful. Why is it then that some simply look better than others? The answer to that question is simple – they know how to dress themselves according to their body type. They know which body parts to accentuate and flaunt and which ones to cover and hide. Every woman can bring out the best in her just by knowing how to dress properly. Of course, it all starts with knowing the right body shapewear.
There are 6 types of body shapes. You should fall under one of the six. Round bodied women are characterized by a wide rib cage but slim hips. Those with inverted triangle shape have broad shoulders but a narrow hip area. Of course, the most coveted hourglass or coke shape bodies have large breasts and wide hips but an ultra slim waist. Pear shaped body types have small tops but wide bottoms. Women with a diamond shaped body have narrow shoulders but wide thighs and those with straight bodies pretty much have similar sizes from top to bottom.
Now that you know the different body shapes, take a look at yourself in the mirror and assess which one you fall under. The body shaper outfits you will choose should follow accordingly. Remember, the secret is to wear clothes that flaunt your assets and hide your flaws. This trick will make you look proportionate all throughout.
For women with a pear shaped body, wear tight or fitted tops to accentuate your slim top. However, it would be smart to wear loose fabrics for your skirts and bottoms to camouflage your hips. For those with coke shaped bodies, you are popular for your curves so dare to wear pants and tops that are contoured to flaunt your stuff. If you are round shaped, start collecting all those shorts and mini skirts because you have the best reasons to show off your legs.
Remember, body shapewear is all about optical illusions so it is not enough that you are wearing the right cut and length for your body type. Make sure that you are wearing the right colors too. For parts that you want to accentuate, you can wear light or bright colors to draw attention to it. For parts that you want to hide, then wear black or neutrals. Another thing that you have to learn about optical illusions is the effects of stripes and prints. Horizontal stripes will tend to make you look wider and potentially shorter while vertical stripes will do the opposite. Of course, the illusion of making you look slimmer depends on how thick the stripes are and how big the gaps between the stripes are as well.
